Scar Reduction

The Silktouch CO2 laser is used to smooth out several types of scars. The treatment recommended is based on factors including size, location and type of scar. Using the CO2 laser to smooth the irregular surface of scars with the surrounding skin has proven very effective in reducing the appearance of scars. Other lasers at the Midwest Laser Cosmetic Surgery Centre can be used in combination with the Silktouch to treat additional features of certain scars such as discoloration.
