Acne & Blemishes

Acne is a common skin condition that affects most people at some point during their lives. It can be caused by factors including hormonal changes, genetics, medications, life-style, and use of certain cosmetic products.

Developments in laser technology now offer a breakthrough in the treatment of active acne and acne scarring. Lasers can penetrate the skin without causing any injury and work to heat up the sebaceous glands, which are often responsible for causing acne breakout.

Our clinic provides a complimentary consultation with our physician to go over all acne treatment options including prescription medication, in-clinic treatments, and topical ingredients options that may be used to improve acne breakout.

Laser based treatment for Acne

For active acne, our laser treatment reduces acne inflammation through photoselective absorption and controlled heating effects. We use a high powered Nd:YAG laser safely penetrates the skin to an optimal treatment depth to thermally and selectively destroy overactive sebaceous glands.

In addition to its thermal penetration effects, the Nd:YAG acne laser treatment also accelerates the healing process and stimulates collagen remodeling, an important step in the long-term treatment of acne.

Recent developments in laser rejuvenating technology now offer a long-lasting scientifically proven method of restoring the natural beauty of your skin. The laser treatment can be used to tighten the skin, improve fine lines and control adult acne. This treatment will give you a real, natural and rejuvenated look with very little or no recovery time.

This laser seeks out minuscule, imperfections in the skin. The heat helps dry out oil glands that are overactive and are causing breakout. Treatment intensity is minimized while efficiency is maximized. Your skin feels more elastic, clearer, plump or generally younger after treatments.
